Nebraska Trucking Heroes Stipend

To help, the NTA offered the Nebraska Trucking Heroes Wildfire Relief Fund through its charitable arm, the Nebraska Trucking Cares Fund, overseen by the NTA Women’s Council. Truckers, farmers, and ranchers who helped transport emergency relief supplies were eligible to get support to offset the high cost of fuel.

The stipend offered $0.50 per mile, up to 500 miles per trip, for truckers who helped with wildfire relief in western Nebraska. The Nebraska Trucking Cares Fund has led the effort that resulted in more than $30,000 in support.
